"2014 Battle of the Stocks "
Friday & Saturday 28th & 29th March 2014

AmPro Tools and Woodford Glen present the 2014 HydroTech Drainage Battle of the Stocks! Thirty two of the best drivers from all over New Zealand are set to hit AmPro Tools Woodford Glen Speedway for the 21st running of Battle of the Stocks.
This iconic Canterbury event has withstood the test of time and is without doubt one of SuperStock racing’s most prestigious events. Originally the brainchild of then promoter Jeanette Bolt, the ‘Big Guns’ of the Stockcar (as they were then known) scene converged on the Glen some 21 years ago after the New Zealand Stockcar Championship at Invercargill. Names such as Rumney, Podjursky and Ellis to name a few, brought a professionalism to Stockcar racing that had never been seen before at the Glen. 21 years on and many battles later, this iconic show has continued to grow with drivers from all over New Zealand wanting the opportunity to enter the battle! With no less than five past or current New Zealand Champions, numerous Grand Prix winners, World 240 and Island Champions, this year’s Battle of the Stocks will once again deliver SuperStock racing at its best. Check back soon for a full entry list that includes World 240 and North Island Champion Peter Bengston, 2NZ Jordan Dare, 3NZ Graeme Barr, and South Island Champion Craig Boote. Race fans, this is a star studded field not to be missed!

“Battle of the Stocks field finalised”
AmPro Tools Woodford Glen and HydroTech Drainage are happy to confirm all 32 entries in to the 21st running of the ‘Battle of the Stocks’ for 2014. Unfortunately current New Zealand Champion and long time Battle of the Stocks competitor Shane Penn has withdrawn due to injury. The team here at Woodford Glen Speedway wish Shane a speedy recovery. Whilst Shane will be sorely missed from this year’s event a star studded line up has been assembled in what will be the best SuperStock show of the year at Woodford Glen Speedway. Heading the entry list is the current World 240 & North Island Champion Peter Bengston of Palmerston North. He will be chased hard by the current 2NZ Jordan Dare, 3NZ Graeme Barr, South Island (and ex 3 time New Zealand Champion) Craig ‘The Boss’ Boote of Nelson. Add another couple of past New Zealand Champions in Wayne Hemi (driving the famous ‘Red Waka’) and local lead foot Malcolm Ngatai, past World 240 Champions Andy McCabe and Scott Joblin, two time New Zealand Grand Prix Champion Adam Joblin and this is arguably one of the best line ups of SuperStock drivers ever to hit the track at AmPro Tools Woodford Glen Speedway.
