Due to the Coast to Coast race having changed route, the intersection of Tram Road and Main North Rd (just past the old Waimak bridge) will be reduced to a 30km speed limit and patrolled by the Police.
This is due to safety for the cyclists who will be crossing the road at approximately 3pm – 5pm. Therefore please take care if travelling this way or use the northern motorway and take the Kaiapoi off ramp and come back up to Woodford Glen Speedway via Kaiapoi.
"Format"
Entrants in this weekend’s New Zealand Streetstock Championship will be split in to four groups for Friday nights qualifying. Just 26 cars will make it through to finals night to contest the New Zealand Streetstock championship on Saturday night. Each group will race three heats each over 15 laps. Once all heats have been raced the top six highest points scorers from each group will qualify to finals night and contest the 2015 AmPro Tools New Zealand Streetstock championship. A further two drivers will have one last chance to qualify via two separate repechage races to be held at 6.30pm on Saturday night before racing starts proper at 7pm. The highest points scorer from groups one and four will start the first repechage race from grid one with the second highest points scorer starting from grid two and so on down to grid 30. Like the first repechage race, grid position one for the second (and last) repechage race will be filled by the highest points scorer from groups two and three. The first driver to cross the finish line in each repechage race will take the final two spots in the 26 car finals field and have the chance to be crowned the 2015 AmPro Tools New Zealand Streetstock champion! For those who don’t make the finals field, a second championship will be held for the next highest 26 points scorers. The winner of this championship will be the driver who scores the highest points after three heats and will hold aloft the AmPro Tools Cup. Like the AmPro Tools Cup championship, the driver who scores the highest points after all three heats (raced over three heats) will be crowned the AmPro Tools New Zealand Streetstock champion for 2015!
