4c Mike Gourley never fails to find some impressive car speed when it comes to Canterbury Championship time. He improved from his 2nd place last season to win the event from 29c Glen Leech who has returned from his jaunt into sprintcars. 84c Natasha Rodgers continued with the form that shows that "woman CAN do anything" equalling the 3rd overall she achieved last season.

And the champions are ... 3rd 47c Nigel Keats. 1st 19c Malcolm Ngatai. 2nd 3nz Mark Osborne.
19c Malcolm Ngatai successfully defended his canterbury championship tonight and made it look relatively easy along the way. 3nz Mark Osborne couldn't quite match Ngatai for outright lap times but was very happy with the 2nd place overall. Emerging from the heat 3 carnage was 47c Nigel Keats to score enough points for the final placing on the podium.
