This evenings main event was the Super Saloon Series with cars from all over the south island. Local favourite 58c Richie Taylor proved too good for the competition tonight by winning two heats and then dominating the 20 lap final from start to finish. 891d Josh Boulton successfully pulled off an outside pass he had been working on for several laps to bump 27c Trevor Elliott back to third place. 34t Ray Stewart's ever quick Nissan suffered rear end damage after being hit in along the front straight due to an uncharacteristic spin. Another victim of accident damage was 6c Dennis Bolt who must be hoping for a better run in his monaro. 29c Glen Leech had another good night with 3 podium placing's for his efforts in the Modified division but not to be outdone was Ministock racer 24c Darren Kerr who won all 3 of his races showing his hand early before their championships in january.
